Truth About Abs: Cardio Workouts — The Truth
With the Truth about Abs, there are two types of exercises: Cardio and exercising with weights. Cardio is broken down into two types, the good, and the bad. The “bad” is working out on a treadmill, stationary, or an elliptical, while reading a book or watching television, while the “good” cardio exercise is “20 reps” with weights.
To be honest, not everyone is able to pick up weights, and the book suggests 45 or 250 lbs for a cardio workout. There is no mention of dance classes, such as Zumba or traditional dance of tap, jazz, ballet, or hip-hop. In fact, the book calls it boring. The books goes on to say that further studies suggest that the body is able to handle bursts of the truth about abs exertion, followed but a moment of “cool down,” instead of constantly moving at a slow pace. The book also recommends Highly Variable Cyclic Training, which suppose to the equivalent of a sprinter’s workout.
The cardio workout mentioned in the book is supposed to be for all ages, including seniors.
